In his first works, composed during the 1930s, he treated the rhythmical and melodic elements of Georgian folksongs. Mendelssohn was born in 1847 in Lepzig, Germany. It was like going to university. When he graduated, he moved to Moscow to become a professor at the Music Conservatory there.
